Chief Commercial Officer 

We are looking for a Chief Commercial Officer to shape our sales & sourcing organization and scale  revenue & profits to the next level. This is a new position with heightened expectations for all  aspects of Terra Exports’ commercial efforts. Primarily responsible for driving future commercial  sales & surcing success while delivering on current expectations. Responsible for strategic sales &  sourcing leadership and revenue delivery for the company across all lines of business and channels, including our company’s sales & sourcing team. Included in this role is responsibility for directing  and managing market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, distribution, and channel strategies. This goal is achieved by providing leadership toward the achievement of maximum profitability and  growth in line with the company’s vision and values. 


Option to choose between relocating to our corporate office located in Las Vegas Nevada (USA), or working remotely from home (anywhere in the world) as long as you’re in a time zone equivalent to  USA or Europe working hours.


  • Create and execute sales & sourcing department strategies to meet all requirements while achieving revenue and profit goals.
  • Lead Company sales directors and managers to achieve sales and profit objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with ownership to ensure consistent alignment. 
  • Integrate marketing and product initiatives to produce optimal commercial success. 
  • Tightly integrate sales & sourcing strategy and process when engaging in multi-division  business. 
  • Identify strategic business opportunities. 
  • Cultivate awareness of company realities. 
  • Exemplify the company’s commitment to servant leadership in all interactions.

Summary of Responsibilities: 

  • Create and execute sales strategies to meet all requirements while achieving the company’s revenue and profit goals. 
  • Design and/or revamp inter-division business strategy and guidelines.
  • Create forecasts at the corporate level, while also assisting each regional division with their  own forecasts.
  • Invest time in learning and evaluating new processes and technologies that will impact the  business (CRM system, phone app, etc.)
  • Routinely update the executive leadership team on plans, realities, and requirements.
  • Understand and translate Terra Exports’ business strategies into commercial initiatives.
  • Oversee all business development and execution of sales strategies for new product introductions.
  • Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and increase the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results.
  • Develop quotas, budgets, short-term and long-term goals in support of business objectives.
  • Develop long term business plans along with the CEO and other leaders as designated.
  • Lead the company’s sales charge with significant, sustained energy and passion.
  • Ensure sales team is consistently acting in accordance with Terra Exports’ mission and  values.
  • Assist sales team in delivery of proposals and presentations where necessary to close  strategic deals.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and development as needed to sales team.
  • Collaborate closely with ownership to ensure consistent alignment.
  • Integrate with marketing to produce optimal commercial success.
  • Consistently improve impact of tactical marketing materials and systems.
  • Identify strategic business opportunities.
  • Provide input into how new products integrate into business model.
  • Maintain communication with clients, suppliers, and other team members regarding new trends and products needed.
  • Remain current with key parties to evaluate possible acquisitions.
  • Understand and align action and strategies with the values of ownership and leadership.
  • Build cooperative and supportive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Travel Commitment – trade shows and executive team meetings (10% of the time or less).
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the CEO. 


  • Experience working in a global or multi-national fresh produce company.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent (graduate degree preferred).
  • Experience directly managing multiple sales employees or teams.
  • 7 to 10 or more years of experience in sales (in a leadership role).
  • Highly strategic leader – establishing critical plans and executing them.
  • Highly skilled communicator – both written and verbal, including formal presentations.
  • Highly skilled with people – leading, helping, supervising, instructing, persuading, mentoring, motivating, communicating, counseling, and negotiating.
  • Exceptional sales professional and leader for both the internal team and external partners.
  • Respectful, constructive, energetic with a “get it done” style, with the ability to seamlessly fit into an established and growing team.
  • Highly developed data skills – analysis, comprehension, reporting, and decision making.
  • Keen grasp of industry issues.
  • Basic computer skills – Email, Excel, Word, etc.
