Vice President of Sales

We are searching for a Vice President of Sales to lead their team of successful salespeople and key customers working out of their Pompano Beach Florida office. This is a key position on the executive leadership team responsible for providing leadership and management of the Company’s sales activities. The VP of Sales is responsible for the development and execution of the Sales strategies that drive revenue for the company, utilizing a thorough understanding of market opportunities, company operations and effective business development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategic sales plans, budgets, and the trade marketing strategy, based on Company goals to promote business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Identify customer demands and link them to the Company’s ability to execute those demands
  • Measure monthly and annual sales goals achievement   
  • Manage a team of seasoned sales professionals through development and mentoring
  • Impact brand recognition, pricing, expense management and revenue growth, contributing to profitability 
  • Measure monthly and annual sales goals achievements
  • Expand the Company’s presence in North American
  • Develop the customer base matching the basket of offerings specific to customers
  • Work closely with the production and marketing teams to identify opportunities to exploit the brand
  • With an impressive national retail customer base, our client is looking to expand and foster such relationships helping retailers with solutions to grow their business
  • Understand the customers in which to test products and viability for future growth
  • Develop a succession plan while working with existing team members to strengthen sales growth for years to come

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of sales or business development experience within the produce industry
  • Experience growing business with national retail customers experience
  • Track record of building a positive, successful sales culture, coaching highly productive teams with a focus on team success
  • Seasonal produce expertise
  • Highest level of integrity
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to realize the business growth agenda
  • Team leadership and development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
