We are currently looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in Lamont and Coachella, CA.
As a Quality Control Supervisor you will oversee product quality and food safety programs. Coordinate and perform internal plant audits, help prepare for outside audits, at multiple facilities. Develop and implement new and evolving quality assurance and food safety procedures as needed. You are responsible for reviewing and maintaining HACCP plans, SSOP’s, GMP’s and other pre-requisite programs. Conduct annual (weekly?) Food Safety training to all personal.
- Must be able to travel and relocate seasonally (December-March).
- Four-year degree in Biology, Food Science or related field preferred but not required in lieu of direct experience.
- Must have knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Law.
- Must be able to write procedures, update existing and create new Food Safety manuals.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality about all aspects of job at all times.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Supervise quality assurance/control personnel.
- Conduct HACCP training.
- Perform plant audits at multiple locations.
- Write procedures for Organic handling.
- Must be able to communicate with various departments regarding special orders (shipping, production and sales).
- Ensure and protect security and confidentiality of company information at all times.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Conduct and assess retain and shelf life studies as requested by QA and Food Safety Manager.
