Job Description: 
We are a newly established Nogales based company that is a vertically integrated Grower/Shipper/Importer. We are currently looking for a sales director. This position will focus on customer sales. Products will include conventional melons, peppers, cucumbers and other perishable fruit and vegetable commodities. This is an exciting opportunity that offers career advancement and professional development.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Grow business opportunities with existing and potential new customers domestic and foreign.
  • Be point of contact for customers for product availability, pricing, quality, delivery and the overall market.
  • Occasional travel to conventions, shows and customer locations.
  • Schedule regular purpose outcome meetings.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence in the market.
Qualifications: 
  • Previous sale experience in related perishable fruit and vegetable commodities.
  • Successful track record of sales in multiple customer segments, (retail, food service, wholesale or processors)
  • In-depth understanding of fresh produce supply base, production, and operations.
  • College degree (B.A. / B.S.) in related fields of study desired, or relevant experience in the produce industry.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of produce sales experience.
