Job Description: 

Beachside Produce was launched in July 2003. It was a spin out of the fresh produce portion of an existing entity that sold fresh and processed produce. The third and fourth generation farmers that supplied the produce to the public entity seized the opportunity to merge their family businesses into a premiere fresh vegetable firm and vertically integrated their farming expertise with the seasoned sales and operational staff that made the transition with them to Beachside.

We are actively seeking an Agricultural Field Operations responsible for evaluating, procuring, and ensuring agricultural products that meet company specifications.

General Responsibilities

  • Determine availability and quality of agricultural product in fields.
  • Forecast and report to the company on upcoming harvestable product, as well as ensure that harvested product meets the company’s specifications.
  • Procure agricultural products for the company to market outside of its current grower base.
  • Provide daily updates to sales and production departments.

Other Responsibilities

  • Travel as required per the company.
  • Operate a company vehicle per company policies.
  • Weekend work.
  • Some computer work.
  • Extensive phone calls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Science, Agriculture Engineering, or related field


  • Ability to be a team player in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with all personnel, peers, growers, and customers.
  • Multitasker.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Demonstrate ability to adopt/respond in an environment of constant change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (bi-lingual a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail.
