Job Description: 

Brooks Tropicals, a well-established grower, packer, importer and marketer of tropical produce, is looking to hire a Director of Sales and Marketing. Brooks has been in business for over 90 years and is a leader in the industry, with domestic and international product supply and nation-wide and Canadian distribution.

We now have an amazing opportunity for a produce sales and marketing professional to lead our sales, administrative, and transportation staff as our Director of Sales and Marketing in our Homestead, FL main offices.

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing sales plans and marketing opportunities. They will act as a public relations interface with customers, consumers, and the media. This position works closely with all Company departments including the growing operations, packing and shipping operations, accounting, executive management, and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 to 10 years of sales management experience in the fresh produce industry.
  • 4 year college degree
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral communication, written communication, interpersonal skills, and problem   solving skills.
  • Ability to work with and lead a team; flexible to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Famous software a plus.
  • Analytic and numeric ability
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Drive and ambition
  • Bilingual/Spanish a plus.
