Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the efficient performance of up to 70 employees.
  • Responsible for monitoring and tracking quality of each employee’s performance and collaborates with HR for corrective action or performance related issues.
  • 75% of the Ops Manager’s time will be spent on the production floor.
  • Maintains a clean production environment ensuring GMPs and SOPs are followed at all times.
  • Responsible for ensuring food safety, employee safety and product quality are in place, line efficiency, waste, downtime, and labor are to company standards.
  • Assists machine operators and other key positions during start up and changeovers. Starts and sets all processing equipment prior to start time.
  • Performs Operations Checklist hourly. Completes daily Production Reports and other reports as directed by Plant Manager.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with basic math skills. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years Food Processing/Manufacturing Management experience preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Required.
  • Should have a basic knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS – HACCP/OSHA.
