Job Description: 

Company with 50+ years of history and a strong support structure is looking to add a Produce Broker.  This position will be based out of our Eastern North Carolina location, but will be supported by our satellite offices.  The ideal candidate will have an established grower relationship and customer base.  We offer competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • New business development
  • Maintaining current customer base
  • Handling procurement from growers
  • Management of logistics and transportation
  • Sales to wholesale and/or retail customers
Skills: 
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Multiple task management,
  • Be able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and able to accomplish team objectives.
  • Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with computer competency, including Excel & Word.
  • Self-Motivator
  • Strong organization
Qualifications: 
  • At least 5 years of outside experience in produce brokering and / or sales
  • Experience  handling procurement from growers
  • Experience selling fresh produce
  • Logistics Management
  • PACA knowledge preferred
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office products
