LOCATION: SHAFTER, CA. (FINANCE DEPARTMENT)

SHIFT: DAY

About the Opportunity: 

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Controller - Farming responsible for overseeing the company’s farming accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial information, and providing leadership for the financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions. This position plays a key role in supporting farming operations and planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining internal controls.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of directly related experience in Ag or related manufacturing industry
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Experience in designing and developing data queries/reports from ERP system for operational analytics and utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and mentor staff
  • Excellent critical thinking with oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to details; strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of individuals throughout operations and management
  • Ability to work well in a self-directed, fast-paced, changing environment with minimum supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the desire to be the team leader as well as a team player at times
  • Travel to regional facilities as needed, some weekend and holiday work may be required
  • Remote work not available for this position
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record
  • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background check.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • CPA/CMA with experience in cost accounting and inventory.

Total Rewards: $165,000 - $180,000 / YEARLY

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
