Job description
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and efficiently.
- Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, supporting documentation, and compliance with company policies.
- Enter and maintain accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documentation, and invoices when applicable.
- Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH, and other payment methods.
- Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including W-9s and payment information.
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and help ensure payments are made according to established terms.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiency.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
