Job Description: 

Edward L. Myrick Produce, Inc. is a leading family-owned produce distribution and brokerage company with a network of offices across the United States. We are dedicated to providing high-quality fruits and vegetables while building lasting relationships with our customers and suppliers.

We're currently seeking a dynamic Sales Associate to join our growing team in Florida.

As a Sales Associate at Myrick Produce, you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Your primary responsibilities will include generating new business leads, closing sales, and providing exceptional customer service.

This position requires a proactive approach to sales and the willingness to travel to seasonal locations, as well as for customer visits and industry events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through individual lead generation and prospecting.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Travel to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and engage in industry events to build a network of contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the produce or food distribution industry.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 25% of the time) to our various locations, and to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in using current technology, including CRM software, email, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
