Job Description: 

Frida is a Trusted digital marketplace to connect growers and buyers in the produce industry in order to meet their supply and demand needs. We are focused in the produce industry at large, and at this stage in the company we are strongly focusing on berries. Growers can now sell direct to retailers, foodservice buyers, and earn a better return for their fruit. As a grower, you can access different programs that will guarantee you a fixed price for a specified number of weeks and sell your fruit in the spot market that fluctuates every day. As a buyer, it is now possible to source fruit from food safe, professional growers located in the US, Mexico, and Latin America. Buyers will also have access to year round, consistent supply of quality fruit. Frida uses Artificial Intelligence algorithms to help both growers and sellers find each other more easily and offers price suggestions so that both parties prosper.

We have an immediate opening for a Grower Account Executive to join our team.

The role of the Grower Account Executive is to build and maintain close, emotional relationships with Frida’s current and potential growers. This role extends far beyond a traditional sales position and will require the candidate to demonstrate strong customer service skills, have an understanding of ag business, and exceptional emotional intelligence. The Grower Account Executive will need to understand Frida’s marketplace platform, articulate the benefits and solutions we provide, close sales with new growers and expand their book of business each quarter. Once the relationships have been established, the Grower Account Executive will devote their efforts to cultivating and retaining them with exceptional customer service, and building a long-lasting partnership between the growers and Frida.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets in the agriculture industry.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in sales skills, processes and approaches.
  • 10+ years experience in a similar sales role.
  • Previous roles dealing with grower relations.
  • Preferred degree in Agribusiness or related degree program.
  • Bilingual preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, and Pipedrive.
  • A proven, reputable history in the industry with grower connections.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Agri-Food & Supply Chain.
