Job Description:

This is your opportunity to own the most strategic relationships in the North American produce industry.

At ProducePay, we're not just providing a service; we're solving the industry's biggest cash flow and supply chain challenges with innovative FinTech solutions. As our Director of Strategic Accounts, you won't be a cog in the machine. You'll be a leader, empowered to drive growth, build C-level relationships, and directly shape our business.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter who takes ownership. In return, you get a "work from home" culture built on trust and tons of opportunity to collaborate across the company.

ProducePay is an agtech company that empowers growers and buyers by providing access to capital, trading, insights, and supply chain visibility. Our core business focuses on offering working capital advances to growers through pre-season financing and accounts receivable factoring. Additionally, we collaborate with strategic buyers to develop commodity sourcing programs and structured financing vehicles.

We are currently looking for a Director of Strategic Accounts. This role will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with our most important and high-value clients. The Director will develop and execute strategic account plans, identify new opportunities, and ensure exceptional service delivery. We are seeking a candidate who is comfortable with a consultative sales approach and is adept at exploring opportunity areas such as:

  • Working capital solutions for buyers of fresh-produce (pre-season advances and accounts receivable factoring)
  • Fresh-produce Commodity sourcing programs that connect growers with off-take programs, supported by inventory commitments, financing, and on-the-ground quality control services
  • Structured finance programs where strategic fresh-produce buyers invest in ProducePay-managed financing vehicles to grow and derisk their grower portfolios

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop C-level relationships and execute consultative account strategies to drive growth.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and negotiate new business opportunities (financing, sourcing) within key accounts to expand revenue.
  • Client Success: Ensure high client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty through proactive management and service oversight.
  • Internal Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Support) to meet client needs and provide feedback.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on account performance, metrics, and opportunities to  senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in account management or business development
  • Strong network of relationships within the North American fresh produce industry with buyers, marketers, importers and integrated suppliers
  • Experience with working capital or structured financing solutions is a plus
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers
  • Self-starter that thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced startup environment with the demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate, and work well with others
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and drive to accomplish what is necessary to solve them
  • Works collaboratively with peers and always has a team-first attitude
  • Ideally bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, preferred but not required

Location: Remote from PA, NJ, FL
Salary: $160,000.00 base plus commissions

Benefits:

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
  • Short Term & Long Term Disability
  • Training & Development
