We now have a tremendous opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our team in Monterey, CA.
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for growth and retention of strategic fresh-produce accounts with multiple products, service lines and modes within a portfolio. The Key Account Manager identifies new opportunities within their portfolio, generates demand, and sells creative solutions/services to drive growth through relationship building, problem solving, and providing exceptional service. As the single point of accountability, the Key Account Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement and articulating customer value to support customer’s supply chain across multiple offices and geographies. Key Account Managers utilize their broad understanding of Robinson Fresh's products and supply chain solutions, as well as, C.H. Robinson’s industry leading modes/services, technology, and business process to retain and grow customers within their portfolio through the sale of diverse products and services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 3-5 years customer sales and customer relationship management experience in agriculture transportation industry.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate, influence and organize.
- Good analytical, sales and negotiating skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to generate and implement creative and innovative solutions to problems/opportunities.
- Experience in preparing and negotiating customer contracts.
- Proven ability to demonstrate market knowledge, full knowledge of seasonality, buying and selling effectively.
