We currently have an opening for a Quality Control Clerk in Corona, CA. This person will work directly in conjunction with warehouse management to address food safety concerns, maintain records of inspections, and inspect and bring issues to the attention of management relative to food safety.

Please note the shift for this position is 5:30 pm to 2:00 am.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 2 years produce or other perishable receiving and inspection experience OR minimum of 1 year warehouse, distribution, or inventory control experience required. 
  • Knowledge of USDA grades and standards preferred. 
  • Six months foodservice distribution experience preferred. 
  • Basic computer skills required.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Receive, inspect, and verify Purchase Order quantities for all outbound perishable loads.
  • Inspect all outbound loads for signs of pest and rodents before shipping.
  • Document temperatures of all outbound loads and report to manager and buyers of any violations.   
  • Responsible for proper rotation for all produce inventory and various perishable items.
  • Maintain acceptable levels of product in each assigned pick slot.
  • Perform daily quality inspections for all perishable items.
  • Perform daily date checks and pull all out dated product from pick and reserve slots. 
  • Complete daily dump and damage report and give to warehouse supervisor or inventory control.
  • Communicate daily with the buyers and manager on all issues related to perishable items.  May make recommendations on dump and damage or repackaging.
  • Process produce returns, determine whether to return to inventory, donate or dump. 
Education: 
  • High School Education or GED preferred.
Qualifications: 
  • Must have previous experience and be able to operate forklift or electric pallet jack.  
  • Must work well without close supervision.  
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
