Job Summary
Responsible for the planning, marketing and managing sales strategies of grapes, mangoes, avocados, and citrus; as well as the planning, marketing and sales strategies of these products. This position must manage the planning and execution of commercial programs, make sure quality and product safety management systems and regulations are met at all times. Generate efficiencies and savings.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage seasonal commercial plans for key crops, ensuring strategic alignment and operational readiness.
Supply Coordination & Pricing
- Oversee fruit supply allocations, set weekly pricing, coordinate logistics, and follow up on sales programs with internal teamsBusiness Development & Market Expansion
- Explore new markets and customers, negotiate programs, and close commercial deals based on market trends and reports.
Retail Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with direct North American retailers and clients, negotiating volumes and pricing to ensure consistent order placement.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Conduct market analysis to understand trends, customer needs, and competitor activities for informed decision-making.
Compliance & Integrity
- Ensure compliance with anti-bribery, product safety, and quality standards, promoting ethical practices within commercial operations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Execute other duties as assigned by the General Manager USA to support broader business objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Economics, Food Industry Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- MBA (desirable)
Experience:
- Over 7 years of experience in commercial roles within the fresh fruit and vegetable industry.
- Minimum 5 years Retail sector, fruit sector, sales and negotiations.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, verbal and writing
- SAP and MS Office proficiency,
- Strong negotiation, planning, and leadership capabilities
