A well-established, year-round grower, shipper in the fresh produce industry is seeking an intermediate-experienced Sales Representative to join our team.
We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in produce sales, particularly in Avocados, who thrives on relationship-building, consistent outreach, and strategic account management. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-driven, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, customer-focused organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through regular communication.
- Identify and pursue qualified business opportunities to expand account portfolios.
- Deliver clear, timely product details including pack types, varieties, origins, and loading schedules.
- Implement sales initiatives and strategies in alignment with company objectives.
- Negotiate pricing and manage order details accurately and professionally.
- Be available after normal business hours to support urgent customer needs or shipment adjustments.
- Accurately input and update sales data within the ERP system.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with internal departments and external partners.
- Travel occasionally to visit customers, attend trade shows, and tour facilities or fields.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong follow-through.
- Team-oriented but capable of working autonomously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Prior avocado sales experience is a plus.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are advantageous.
