Job Description:
This position is responsible for the procurement & sales of IQF/Processed Fruit and Vegetable products to internal/external customer base, performs sourcing, ensures quality of sourcing and sales, customer satisfaction, opportunity and risk assessment, departmental improvements, and information exchange with other commodity traders.
Position Reports to:
VP of Sales & Procurement, Fruit & Vegetables
Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum of 3 years of IQF/Processed fruit & vegetable procurement experience.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Marketing, International Trade, or Agriculture a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and effective contract negotiation skills.
- Experience in an import/export environment and successful customer service experience.
- Proven communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Ability to solve challenging problems prioritizes, meet deadlines and work with minimal direction.

Advanced proficiency with Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Axapta highly desirable.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for the procurement and sales of IQF/Processed Fruit & Vegetable products; quantities, deliveries according to specs, contracts, and cost price calculations.
- Stays in continuous contact with the VP of Sales, Senior Traders, trade assistants and internal customers.
- Responsible for managing inventory positions for IQF/Processed Fruit & Vegetable products.
- Formulates the sourcing, costs and sales budgets for IQF/Processed Fruit & Vegetable products.
- Ensures optimal customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for handling product complaints from customers.
- Stays in contact with the Accounts Receivables department for assessment of customer payment risks.
- Responsible for the results of products in Fruit & Vegetable product group.
- Keeps track of the results and suggests correction action plans.
- Responsible for the results of his/her Fruit & Vegetable products.
- Define all quality aspects towards all product providers and customers (either when buying/selling on a contract base or otherwise).
- Follows the product specifications as defined by the quality department and adheres to instructions that differ from the general product specifications if specified by Quality Assurance Manager.
- Ensure all suppliers meet supplier approval with the Quality Assurance Manager.
Travel:
- Estimated 15-20% travel to customers/trade shows/seminars.
