Job Description:
Grow the company’s national retail sales to expand into a large nationwide program by establishing relationships with retailers to maximize eastern farm growth.
Position Reports to:
VP of Sales
Requirements:
- Well-established successful and diversified Sales representative with experience working with a large year-round grower/shipper.
- A results driven produce professional with prior retail produce sales experience is required.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- The ability to make sound decisions and problem solve.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Personal accountability and strong negotiating skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communications skills, team player.
- Be able to set priorities, meet deadlines and accomplish team objectives.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills with high computer competency.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing or agriculture is preferred
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Create and manage a concise sales plan that caters to National Retail Accounts and will improve retail growth.
- Help to develop retail strategy to support retail growth.
- Identify, cultivate and grow new retail accounts.
- Works with sales people and retailers to drive innovation and bring new ideas/add value
- Maintain focused sales targets and category growth.
- Work closely with the sales team to drive retail programs.
- Prepare and review bi-weekly sales reports and provide input on how to increase sales.
- Take an active role in developing and making presentations to prospective retailers.
- Works with retailers to address their specific needs
