Bland Farms is headquartered in Glennville, Georgia, Bland Farms is the largest grower, packer, and shipper of sweet onions in the United States. Bland Farms represents roughly half of the entire Vidalia® sweet onion volume, and has the largest controlled-environment storage capacity in the industry.

Bland Farms was the first company in the industry to market sweet onions year-round. In order to meet the needs of customers year-round Bland Farms had to expand growing operations beyond the borders of Georgia, across the United States, and internationally. Our strategically located operations result in the highest quality, freshest, and sweetest onions available to consumers and retailers today.

Bland Farms is seeking a highly motivated, engaged, self-starter to become our next Sales Analyst in Glenville, GA.

The Sales Analyst is an entry-level position and will be primarily responsible for the preparation and analysis of sales reports for the company.  You will also support the sales team by providing analytical data and the interpretation of such data.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in analyzing and interpreting data, forecasting, reporting key performance indicators and assisting departments. You will have excellent communication skills, and have an understanding and use of syndicate databases.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor Degree required, with a focus in Agriculture or Agri-business a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Previous experience in Agri-business a plus.
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Develop, create, analyze, maintain and distribute various reports containing dynamic information essential to the customer and other internal functions on a monthly basis.
  • Weekly generation of reports and in depth analysis of data for the assigned product.
  • Prepare sales, consumer and category trend analysis using a variety of data points (AC Nielsen, Retail Link, and JD Edwards) for assigned areas.
  • Ensure the integrity of databases by verifying data, solving problems, performing backups and other maintenance functions.
  • Provide data mapping for all data elements to ensure standard reporting across the organization.
  • Identify significant variances and explain key drivers of these variances.
  • Evaluate and create new or modified methods and procedures to improve report content, accuracy, ease and efficiency of access.
  • Gather and prepare sales data to be used in planning supplier and trade meeting presentations.
  • Develop specialized sales and margin analysis reports in response to ad-hoc requests.
  • Prepare analysis for the Sales Department regarding the impact of new marketing and sales proposals.
