Charlie's Produce is a local produce distributor servicing our Northwest market for over 30 years. We have distribution centers in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. We are a growing company with more than 1000 employees.

This individual will be responsible for calling on an assigned itinerary of stores and delivering superior in-store customer service by merchandising store shelves and displays. The merchandiser will directly impact the sales process by having continuous contact with Deli Department Managers, receivers, and store managers. The work schedule is demanding; the merchandiser may work nights, weekend and early mornings. The merchandiser will be driving around to the scheduled stores on a daily basis and sometimes to other locations. Overnight stays out of town may be required at times.
Responsibities:
- Responsible for the retention and penetration to customers
- Merchandising / training support to customers
- Building effective relationships with store personnel and management in the course of performing daily duties.
- Checking stores for competitive activity and volume opportunities
- Participate / facilitate in business reviews with key customers
- Maintain monthly calendar of activities and weekly report of accomplishments
- Develop / identify training opportunities
- Develop and utilize promotional material
- Must follow instructions and work independently as well as work under time constraints
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years retail deli department or merchandising experience in order to meet the needs of the various store deli managers.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel 90% of the time local with some overnight travel
- Must be flexible enough to work the hours needed by the customer
- Clean driving record.
