SCS is looking for a self-starter to fill the Marketing Coordinator role in our Food and Agriculture Division. The Coordinator will report to the Sales Manager and work very closely with programs like the Non-GMO Project, Food Safety, and Sustainably Grown.
- Work experience in the food safety or food agriculture industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 1 -2 years of marketing experience in a business to business environment working closely with a sales team
- Experience in a business services firm, environmental firm, or third-party certification
- Experience planning marketing collateral for trade shows and events
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong PowerPoint skills and proficiency in MS Office
- Working knowledge of Google AdWords, Constant Contact, and marketing tools and techniques
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Writing and development – Prepare client packets, marketing collateral, e-blasts, newsletters, article pitches, speaker abstracts, advertisements, web content, etc.
- Logistics – manage logistics for webinars, trade shows, and other events
- Research – Conduct market research to analyze opportunities for growth, to assess the competitive landscape, to monitor industry-related news, or for other purposes in support of divisional sales goals as well as focused sales initiatives
- Customer Outreach – manage outreach efforts to customers to improve SCS brand penetration, to announce news, attend events, and represent SCS for other purposes
- Public Relations – Track divisional public relations needs, plan and manage special events, and prepare press releases, press packets, program talking points, and related materials
- Social Media – Contribute to company social media campaigns
- Presentations – Support divisional staff presentation needs (e.g., PowerPoint presentations)
- Internet Analytics – Management of the Google AD words campaign for the division as well as other web-based marketing efforts including preparation of status reports and results of the campaigns
- Logo/Trademark Usage Review – Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking approval to use SCS and/or other Food and Agriculture program logos and trademarks
- Develop budgets for marketing initiatives
- Develop, coordinate and execute marketing plans to meet goals
- Marketing efforts to business to business clients
- Brand building for SCS programs
