Upstarts has been growing and distributing organic seedlings since 1989. Located in the heart of the Monterey Bay, we operate two large greenhouses in Watsonville. Our primary focus is supplying seedlings to wholesale buyers at nurseries in the Napa Valley, and San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas. One of the first bedding growers to be certified organic in the state of California, we have been certified by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) since 1991.
We have immediate opportunities for Part Time Delivery Drivers, with the possibility of full time by also working as a Nursery Worker to join our team.
As a delivery driver, we’re looking for an outgoing friendly individuals who are comfortable driving our delivery vehicle to our clients, delivering our high-quality Organic seedlings. You must be comfortable in in heavy traffic conditions through-out the San Francisco Bay area.
If you are looking to take this part-time position into a full time one, you would also have general duties in our greenhouses tending plants and filling orders, and ensuring our quality products are packed and delivered in the finest condition.
We are looking for people who have a valid drivers license, with a verifiable clean driving record and insurance, and a good knowledge of the greater Bay Area. Experience working with plants and seedlings is a big plus.
