RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and growers.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Stay informed about market trends, seasonal variations, and emerging products.
- Analyze market conditions and forecast demand to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Conduct competitor analysis to stay competitive.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and order products to maintain optimal inventory.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, quality inspections, and supplier certifications.
- Keep up to date with industry regulations and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with retailers and work to grow and expand new opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, growers, and internal stakeholders.
- Address any issues or disputes related to orders, deliveries, or quality promptly.
- Analyze data to make informed purchasing and selling decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Actively promote and sell our products working to secure year-round contracts with customers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the fresh produce market, including commodities, growing regions, seasons, and sources.
- Existing book of customers and established relationships with key regional and national retailers, with the ability to secure new business.
- At least 2-3 years of successful sales experience in retail, wholesale, foodservice and brokerage.
- Proven experience selling fresh produce and ability to promote our own product from Mexico.
- Strong sales and presentation skills, with demonstrated success in face-to-face sales, including key account management.
- High sense of urgency and a relentless drive to achieve goals.
- Ability to track what's going on in the markets.
- Commitment to integrity and adherence to company values and ethics.

- Exceptional active listening and communication skills (verbal and written).
