Summary
The Fresh Business Development Manager This professional will manage client accounts, and work in conjunction with Customer Development Managers, the Business Intelligence team, the Sales Support team, and Retail Operations to ensure client, customer and company expectations are met. The Fresh Business Development Manager must be an individual who is organized, a self-starter, highly motivated to lead others, and able to build relationships with clients, customers, and employees.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of service to client representatives, customers and co-workers and assist the organization in achieving a culture of service excellence.
- Deliver our client’s volume, share and sales goals in a financially responsible way for the client and Schraad and Associates.
- Build trust with clients and customers and seek to understand their supply chain needs.
- Work with the Retail Sales Team in the execution of all new product introductions and sales initiatives, ensuring all client’s procedures and policies are followed.
- Communicate all client’s initiatives to the Retail Sales Managers and help develop sales tools for the execution of strategies to attain goals (sales presentation, Surveys/bulletins, sales contests, etc.).
- Exhibit knowledge of technology and applicable software applications to analyze and enhance client sales.
- Work with Nielsen and /or IRI data to communicate strategic information to client and customer to increase sales growth.
- Responsibilities include project development and management, budget management, execution monitoring, issue resolution, reporting and upselling.
- Provide feedback to corporate headquarters on how to build organizational capacity and improve our business.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
Education and Other Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a relative major from a four-year college.
- 3-5 years of marketing or sales experience in the Consumer Goods Industry.
- PC Proficiency and strong skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Language skills: fluent in English.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. Must keep driver’s license and insurance information current and up to company policy.
- Must have the ability to travel to customer trade shows, conventions, meetings and other industry functions on a regular basis.
- Attending all team and company meetings, as required.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor to the position/department.
