Job Description:
An Idaho based fresh potato and onion company is seeking a highly motivated individual with a forward thinking and enthusiastic personality to join their sales team. This position will be responsible to maintain current customer accounts and to develop new account relationships.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maximize procurement and sales relationships
- Manage and expand existing customer accounts, including wholesale, retail, and food service accounts
- Seek out and develop new customers
- Formulate and execute day-to-day sales of program and market-driven accounts
- Maintain sales targets and category growth
- Know and understand the assigned retail/wholesale customer base
- Take ownership of sales and management of associates
- Control expenses and operate within budget parameters
- Travel to customer locations or trade shows as necessary
Qualifications:
- B.A. degree in Business and/or 3 years experience in high volume sales.
- Knowledge of potato and onion markets on a national level.
- Computer proficiency in appropriate business related software.
- Strong managerial skills with the ability to motivate and resolve problems among customers, co-packers, and employees.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
