Job description

Don Hugo Produce is a wholesale produce distributor and related warehousing services provider located in Edinburg, Texas. We are seeking motivated salespeople to join our team. Experienced candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of the fresh produce supply-chain, with preference given to those with an established customer base.

SKILLS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


  • Develop sales for products and services


  • Manage current accounts with a focus on accurate, timely, and proper documentation


  • Coordinate logistics/transportation for purchases and sales as needed.


  • Effectively communicate with customers and vendors. Verify order entry and follow orders through to delivery


  • Follow up on QC’s reports and inspections


  • Quickly resolve credits with vendors and customers and enforce payment terms.


  • Resolve all claims and arrival problems promptly through proper documentation, inspections and communication with supply chain members


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Produce sales experience


  • Experience sourcing produce nationally.


  • Strong relationships with shippers/suppliers and customers.


  • Attention to documentation detail, accuracy, and timeliness


  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)


  • Ability to develop new business as well as manage current accounts


  • PACA rules familiarity and experience
