Job Description:
For a subsidiary of a global company engaged in production and sales of systems and products for commercial greenhouse, we are looking for a highly motivated sales manager with an agriculture background.
Requirements:
- At least two years’ experience of experience in sales and marketing, in the field of agricultural supplies (growing media, fertilizers, agro- chemicals or dripping systems).
- Basic knowledge of fundamentals of Hydroponics culture (pH, EC, Fertigation)
- Bachelor's Degree or similar qualifications in Agricultural/Soil science is highly desirable.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Initiative and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication and "people skills".
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
Miscellaneous:
- Directly subordinate to the GM of the company.
- The position requires a great amount of traveling – 60%.
- The position requires availability for communication (phone calls/email) with international headquarters, with different time zones.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsible for sales and marketing of growing media products in the United States:
- Sales- responsible for the sale and supply of products, customer service and the collection of payments, throughout the aforementioned territory.
- Marketing - analysis and study of the market in the aforementioned territory, including the market potential, the competition, business partners and more.
- Responsible for formulating marketing policies, planning and projecting company activities in the United States.
- Recruiting, training and managing distributors in the aforementioned territory.
