Produce Broker

Location: Remote

Company: Healthy Avocado Inc., Berkeley CA

Healthy Avocado Inc. is an importer and nationwide distributor with over 25 years of experience in the avocado business. As a rapidly growing company, we’re expanding both our product offerings and customer base. We currently sell over 1000 loads of Mexican avocados annually. We’re also actively growing our lime business as part of our broader expansion. We are seeking a high-performing sales professional with deep industry knowledge and strong relationships in the produce supply chain.

We are especially interested in candidates who already manage a book of business and have established customer accounts and supplier partnerships for an additional commodity (e.g., peppers, cilantro, cabbage, berries or anything you can sell in volume).




Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow sales across both avocados and new commodities sourced from Mexico

  • Identify new sourcing opportunities and help diversify our supplier network in Mexico

  • Leverage your existing customer base to expand Healthy Avocado’s market presence

  • Communicate with our current team using WhatsApp and Teams meetings.

  • Coordinate logistics and transportation from Mexico to U.S. destinations, ensuring smooth movement from field to warehouse to customer

  • Communicate effectively with shippers, growers, freight providers, and customers

  • Review QC and inspection reports, providing prompt follow-up

  • Resolve credits, claims, and arrival issues quickly through documentation, communication, and adherence to company policies





Required Qualifications
  • Proven produce sales experience (mandatory)

  • An existing customer base with regular purchasing volume

  • Established supplier/grower relationships in Mexico for at least one commodity besides avocados. (preferred)f

  • Deep understanding of the fresh-produce supply chain

  • Strong documentation, accuracy, and attention to detail

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)

  • Ability to build new business while maintaining long-term customer relationships
