Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Assistant / Future Salesperson to join our fast-paced team. This role is a vital link in our supply chain, helping to manage daily operations, coordinate logistics, and support our sales team as we continue to expand our global product lines (including table grapes, citrus, stone fruit, blueberries, and kiwi).
This position can be based out of either our West Coast corporate headquarters in Aliso Viejo, CA or our East Coast sales office in Swedesboro, NJ.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with daily operations to ensure seamless execution of fruit programs.
- Order Management: Efficiently enter and manage customer orders within company systems.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate domestic logistics, book trucks, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers, warehouses, and carriers.
- Market Mastery: Actively learn produce inventory management, pricing structures, and shifting market trends to prepare for future sales opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Driven & Eager: A highly motivated individual with a strong desire to learn the fresh produce industry and grow into a sales career.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for dealing with internal teams, warehouses, and logistics partners.
- Team Player: A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work seamlessly with others.
- Adaptable: Resilient and thrive under pressure in a fast-moving, agricultural commodity environment.
- Tech Literate: Proficiency in standard business applications (Microsoft Office Suite). Experience with industry-specific software (like Famous) is a plus, but not required.
