Financial Operations Manager is responsible for standardizing, governing, and improving accounting-related operational processes across the organization. This role ensures that financial data and transactions originating from ranch and operational activities are accurate, consistent, timely, and compliant with established accounting policies. This position serves as a critical link between Accounting, Ranch Support, and Operations, with a primary focus on reducing rework, improving data quality, and ensuring upstream process support. Work Environment
This company operates from Sunday morning through Friday evening (24 hours/6 days per week). Job Summary
This position will be working directly with the directors and senior managers of Love Beets and with the owners and senior managers of the grower business from whom we source our beets from. You will be working closely with all to develop and implement our sourcing strategy, leading by example and often having to be hands on to show, teach, lead, coach and mentor our growers as we develop their capabilities and improve the whole beet supply chain, seed to factory, to allow us to achieve our objectives. This role requires someone to be qualified and have +5 years’ growing experience, including organic growing experience and a strong grasp of farm management and farm supply chain practices and procedures, as this role will be providing the specialist farming and growing knowledge and expertise to the business.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Produce growing programs for each individual grower, planning out planting dates, harvest dates, yield targets, size targets and acres to be grown. You will have responsibility in determining volumes to be grown by each grower.
- Put together annual budget costs for the sourcing of beets from each individual grower and supply chain for getting the beets to the factory. Ensuring the plan is cost effective and balanced against risk management.
- Record/collect and analyze the results as they occur, so we can have a positive review at the end of the season and also able to make any changes to plan/budget that you are responsible for.
- Monitor beet quality in store post-harvest and work with the supply chain team to plan out their usage, according to needs and quality of the stored crop, so all is used minimizing in store losses.
- Put together a trials and product development plan with the growers and the factory for the season and take a lead in making sure the trials are carried out and data recorded. This includes varietal development and working with seed houses on this, but also fertility, weed control and other growing and harvesting techniques to ensure we are continuously improving.
- With senior management at Love Beets and the growers, develop short-, medium- and longer-term growing strategies. That allows everyone to be successful over the long term.
- Develop a best practice guide for the growers, that can be shared with all growers and help new growers to develop quickly.
- Work closely with the growers to help them implement and where necessary take action to ensure we are implementing the agreed strategy and timelines for that implementation. Developing a rolling 5-year strategic sourcing plan.
- To visit all growers across North America, and to search and find new growers (Conventional and Organic) to meet the supply chain demands and risk management of Love Beets as the business grows year on year. Develop a strong understanding of the North American beet grower base and regions.
- Expecting to walk the fields with the growers to help monitor and understand what actions need to be taken to improve growing.
- To be assisting growers where required by being onsite at key stages of the growing cycle, (land prep, planting, growing, harvesting) to help them get these key timings right.
- Work with Growers to plan out harvesting capacity by grower, during harvest to reduce bottle necks and other harvest and post-harvest related issues.
- To present quarterly updates to the group board on grower and supply chain of beet performance against targets.
- Working with Cornell University and other institutions to continue to progress R&D into all aspects affecting beet growing and storage.
- Benchmarking and sharing information across the G’s Group of Beets growers.
Skills and Experience

Position Summary:
Under the direction of Bengard Ranch we are currently seeking for a experienced Tractor Foreman sought to lead and coordinate daily agricultural operations, ensuring efficient use of tractors, implements, and field crews. This role combines hands-on equipment operation with team leadership, safety oversight, and maintenance scheduling to keep production running smoothly and on time.
Compensation: $70k-$85k (DOE)
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ten (10) years of ground-prep tractor driving experience.
- Five (5) years of Management Experience as a Tractor Foreman.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Qualifications:
- Able to effectively demonstrate and train team members in the correct methods and processes for all crew functions. Training may include newly hired employees as well as individuals requiring refresher or remedial instruction.
- Reliable and dependable, demonstrating consistent punctuality, strong safety awareness, and adherence to schedules and deadlines.
- Ensures all employees adhere to established safety rules and procedures and maintains a safe work environment for all personnel. Collaborates with other departments to coordinate monthly safety meetings and facilitate any additional required training.
- Become familiar with the new tractor technology so that we can maximize performance and efficiencies of the equipment.
- Performs additional duties as required to support business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Visit and communicate with each tractor driver multiple times a day.
- Determine the logistics of tractors and equipment for best productivity and efficiencies. This includes the movement of tractors, implements from ranch to ranch as well as movement of drivers to and from their vehicles.
- Observe harvest completion & drip tape removal to start ground prep operations in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily checks of tractors and implements and report any mechanical issues to the Shop manager for repairs. Stay in communication with Shop manager until equipment is returned for use. Monitor and determine the replacement time for all wear items and report to Shop manager.
- Arrange for the outside lasering of fields that we can’t cover in-house.
- Evaluate each field operation for accuracy, quality & efficiency. Check that drivers have set and adjusted equipment correctly. Adjust equipment when necessary.
- During the offseason duties will be modified to help in other areas such as in the setting up of Lillistons, perfectas & bed shapers, hands-on repairs of implements and other special projects.
- Follow planting schedule to ensure blocks are listed in a timely matter.
- Collect and review weekly timecards to ensure they are accurate and correct, distribute weekly payroll.
- Follow ground prep guidelines backed with field observations to determine the most cost-effective approach to working the ground. Track number of passes and speed of operations to maintain low costs and high productivity.
- Monitor soil moisture level of fields to determine the correct timing of entry and the intensity at which the soil can be worked.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Exposure to variable outdoor conditions, including heat, rain, dust, wind, and humidity.
- Moderate to heavy physical demands, including lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, and climbing stairs throughout the workday.
- Ability to walk fields over uneven ground.
- Ability to visually assess product and corresponding equipment both close in and over distance.

Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management & Control
- Maintain accurate Stock on Hand (SOH) across port locations and storage facilities
- Support inbound container clearance and drayage coordination
- Assist with inventory allocation and distribution planning
- Coordinate bagging and reconditioning schedules, communications, and ERP entries
- Support and occasionally perform Quality Control (QC) documentation
- Track materials procurement and usage (film, cartons, display bins, etc.)

Order Fulfillment & Logistics
- Support outbound order fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely shipments
- Complete ERP workflows and documentation for assigned orders

- Assist in coordinating LTL and FTL shipments and transfers
- Maintain organized shipping documentation
Operational Planning & Support
- Assist with storage, trucking, and packing execution plans

- Maintain food safety, organic, and certification documentation
- Assist with materials planning for current and upcoming seasons

SUMMARY. The field scout will be scouting fields for insects, diseases and weeds throughout the year (requires daily walking).
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP. The Field Scout reports directly to the Pest Control Advisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. The following job duties and responsibilities are fundamental to the role:
- Operating an ATV to move around the orchard to place up to 9 insect traps per every 40 acres;
- Collecting traps and documents findings on a map;•Taking 12 samples of soil per every 20 acres of land using a probe;
- Collecting 10-15 samples of leaf tissue per tree to test for pests and abnormalities year-round (must sample 12 trees per every 20 acres);
- Monitoring for pests in multiple crops and report findings to PCA;
- Follow all company policies and procedures; and,
- Performing all other duties, assignments, and projects, as assigned by the Company.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required, unless specified otherwise.
- Knowledge or familiarity with agriculture and pest management is strongly desired;
- Ability to Speak English is a must;
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record insurable by the Company’s insurance policy;
- Ability to add, multiply, subtract, and divide is a requirement;
- Ability to communicate with growers and their field employees;•Hands-on experience in agriculture;
- Working knowledge of basic computer and internet functions, including Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Must be able to organize data and develop pest-monitoring information for daily field notes;
- Candidate must be a self-starter and must have good organization skills:
- Must possess good communication skills and willingness to learn new concepts and ideas;
- Physical requirements include regular travel on foot for 6 to 8 hours daily for field scouting; work will be outdoors in hot and dusty field often on uneven terrain; and,
