We are looking for a Senior Controller to join our leadership team and help guide the financial operations of our growing organization.

About the Role

The Senior Controller will play a key leadership role in our accounting and finance organization. This person will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, cash flow, compliance, and team development across our affiliated companies.

We are looking for a hands-on, self-directed finance leader who can bring structure, insight, and accountability to a dynamic agricultural business. This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who can lead with confidence, communicate clearly, and partner effectively with operations and executive leadership.

The position will spend time in Heber, CA, and may also be based out of our Yuma, AZ or Salinas, CA offices.

What You’ll Do

As our Senior Controller, you will:

• Lead our accounting and finance functions across affiliated companies. 
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports. 
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial statements. 
• Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting processes. 
• Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. 
• Establish and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets. 
• Manage cash flow, working capital, liquidity, and debt compliance. 
• Partner with operations to deliver timely, relevant financial insight. 
• Present financial information in clear, useful dashboard-style formats. 
• Support audit requirements and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards. 
• Lead, mentor, and develop our accounting and finance team. 
• Work closely with our CFO to support financial stability, strategic growth, and continuous improvement. 

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a strong financial leader who brings:

• 8+ years of comprehensive accounting and finance experience. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 
• Controller-level experience in a company of significant scale. 
• Experience leading accounting teams and meeting financial deadlines. 
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and GAAP reporting. 
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with general ledger systems. 
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. 
• Strong communication, leadership, and team-development skills. 
• Experience in agriculture, fresh produce, manufacturing, perishable food, or multi-site operations preferred. 
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or public accounting audit background preferred. 
• Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred but not required. 
• Famous software experience is a plus.
